avi movie download

Hello,
This is my first avi movie download.
I'm downloading avi movie from morpheus,via a dial up connection.
This will probably take months downloading and pausing and downloading again ,till the whole movie downloads.
Would like to know at the end of the download,will I have any problems converting the avi movie to DVD,then burn as DVD using nero?
Is there any better sites for downloading the latest movies?
Any suggestions?
