| This software is less than 1Mb in size. You have to also have DVDD or Nero installed.

| The below is a direct quotation from Erwin van den Berg (evdberg) the developer of DVD2one in a DVD2one Forum Sun Jul 15, 2007 6:56 pm posting -> “ First of all, DVD2one is not a burning application, so the built-in burning engine only supports drives that comply to the MMC-3 specification. All modern drives should comply to that spec, but we notice that manufacturers make (lots of) mistakes implementing it. Most of the time those mistakes are fixed in firmware updates, so updating the firmware to the latest version might solve your problem. Also DVD2one has work arounds for the most common mistakes, but does not support quirks of specific drives. In those cases you need a dedicated burning application. So I recommend you use 'Image' as output mode, and burn the resulting image using the excellent and free ImgBurn tool. Evdberg Sun Jul 15, 2007 6:56 pm” Regards, bjkg |
| I don't know about the rest of you, but I tried this program and I like it. It make great backups everytime, fast too. No frills but it does the job.

| I agree alan, since I've been using this little piece of heaven I've all but forgotten DVD Shrink and Recode. Fast and easy with quality that rivals the rest, if not surpasses them. |

| It does have a burn engine and it's not too bad, but, out of habit, I tend to manually burn everything with Imgburn. Thanks for the congrats too, much appreciated. EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention that is my favorite feature of this program is batch encoding. Comes in handy when you have a whole episodic season of your favorite show sitting on your HDD, you can just line them up and let DVD2One knock them down. It's been a while since I've gone through the options, but I believe you can burn/output to folder/output to ISO...like I said it's been a while, so I'd have to double check and I'm not in position to do so ATM. |

| Really great program. I just wish there were a Linux version. I'd pay triple the price for it just to get out from under windows. I'm going to try and install it under a Linux/Wine setup and see what happens. It's been my frvorite shrinking app for years now... |
