RiTEK JS-dye 40x burned at 48x

LTR-48125S FW 1S01
Disc Type, Material = CD-R, Phthalocyanine
ATIP Lead-in = 97m 15s 17f
Norminal Capacity = 702.83MB (79m 59s 73f)
Disc Manufacturer maybe = RiTEK JS-dye
SMART-BURN Speed Limit = 48X

Seems the media can't handle 48x speed. Should be burnt @ 40x.

RiTEK G 24x burned at 48x

LTR-52246S F/W 6S07
Disc Type, Material = CD-R, Phthalocyanine

Disc Manufacturer maybe = RiTEK,G
SMART-BURN Speed Limit = 52X

52x isn't a good idea, but 48x looks perfect in CD Speed. Here are the CD Doctor results:

RiTEK 6x burned at 6x

ATIP: 97m 31s 01f
Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co.
Assumed Dye type: Cyanine (Type 1)
Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
nominal Capacity: 656.69MB (74m 45s 00f / LBA: 336225)

sold as CompUSA-6x-74min:

I am providing these results from CDRs burned AT LEAST 2 years or so ago. They have been kept in CD Cases or CD Wallets for the duration, and NO physical damage is on them. All CDs were burned with either a Ricoh 6200A (latest firmware), Ricoh 7040A (latest firmware), or Ricoh 7200A (latest firmware). Some tests are not quite the full capacity (74 or 80 min), but are relatively close. These results may be helpful to those who have stored media on these specific mediums and are woried about the CDRs data corruption.

This media will also burn at 52x, but it is even slower than 48x because the drive slows the burn speed much sooner. The test results are much the same as above.

Lite On CD-R bundled with the 52246S drive
The disk does not indicate on it physically, any writing speed, but, as you can see SmartBurn claims 52X. I have had rather similar results from 40X onwards.
I live-work in central america at the moment, and we see lots and lots of obscure strange makes of blank media, mostly CMC. I am new to this forum, but think its great, I will keep posting the results of some of these makes i find around here....
