Burned with NEC ND-3520AW Firmware 1.UC @ 2X

I did a second try with the above media, and this scan turned out much better. These dvds had some dust on them from the factory, and that was causing the laser to not physically write to small parts of the dvd, thus resulting in horrible PIF spikes. On this second try, I did miss a little bit of dust right near the end, thus I still had one bad PIF area. However, up until this point the PIF reading was below 100 which is very very good. PI is also excellent, except for right before 0.5gb as seen on the previous scan. This appears to be the result of a poor write strategy by the NEC 3520 on this media at that point due to the great similarity between writes. Otherwise, this is great media (albeit slow) so long as you dust it off before burning.

Burner: NEC ND-3520AW
Firmware: Version 1.UC
Burn Speed: 2X
Read Speed for Test: 8X
Media Code: MCC 00RG200
Media Type: DVD-R
Media Packaged As: Verbatim DataLifePlus DVD-R 2X Single Packs
