@ b9wright,

Welcome to the Forum.

A “Semaphore Timeout” generally occurs when your DVD Drive loses communication with the rest of your system or your NetWork is incorrectly functioning.

Have you ensured that your DMA is correctly configured? Below is a Web Link that details how to ensure DMA is correctly configured.

Have you ensured that your ASPI layer is installed correctly? Below is a Web Link for ForceASPI.

What version of CloneDVD are you using?
2.8.9.9 is the correct version, available here: http://www.slysoft.com

Do not install ASPI drivers. SlySoft products do not need ASPI.

As usual Forum Member Tru is correct that SlySoft software products do not require the Adaptec ASPI Layer. There are other software programs that require a working ASPI Layer and some CD/DVD software programs perform better with the Adaptec ASPI layer than the native Windows ASPI Layer. ForceASPI ensures that the Adaptec ASPI Layer is correctly installed and functioning correctly.

Use CloneDVD2. You won't see any "semaphore timeout". http://www.slysoft.com
