If this is true, do the following: Delete these three lines from the PSP profile from devices.ini: NTSCFrameRate1=29.97 NTSCFrameRateDeinterlace1=29.97 PALFrameRate1=29.97 If they are missing, CloneDVD mobile will pick the best framerate (23.98, 25 or 29.97) automatically, depending on the source disc. Ypi can just do a little test with one chapter of a movie. If Audio & Video run out of sync after a short time when you play it back on the PSP, it does not work correctly. Quote:
Go into devices.ini and delete :v4mv:trell:cmp=2:subcmp=2:mbd=2 from the ZEN Vision profile in devices.ini The line should read as this: lavcopts=vcodec=mpeg4 codec=mp3You will have the same quality & speed as 1.0.7.1. The ZEN Vision profile already used mencoder in 1.0.7.1, so it should be exactly the same. A faster profile for the PSP would read like this: lavcopts=aglobal=1:vglobal=1:vcodec=mpeg4 codec=aac |

| it doesn't matter what converter i use (clone dvd mobile, divx converter, avs video converter)to to turn dvd files into other formats(divx, wmv, etc...) the audio is never 100% in sync with the video. i'm using the latest laptop and it makes no difference at all. |

Will Give it a try I was always editting those FPS lines not removing them... |
| Replacing the FPS statements did not work the file will not play in Quicktime In the Zen vision profile changing the line you mentioned still yields the same Drive is Full Error. Going back to .71 |

| First off, A HUGE thanks to James for his attention to our issues! It's this kind of support that will always keep me a slysoft customer! I removed the extra command line text from the IPOD section of the devices.ini and it sped up the conversion by more than 2 fold! Awesome! Thanks again for your support. Have a great weekend.-Mark |
| Hey James! Is there any possibility of adding a batch process in the future to clonedvd mobile? I would love to have the ability to fire off a whole bunch of movies overnight and have them all waiting for my ipod in the morning. -Mark |

What I sometimes do - I fire up 2 instances of CloneDVD mobile to work at the same time. (It's nice to have a dual core processor...) |
| I wish I had a whole array of drives! I have my movies ripped to the hard drive so I can make PSP, IPOD and divx movies out of them. I would use the batch process for the movies I have on my hard drive. |
| Well, not sure about a batch function, but I can tell you that it ould be nice to be able to adjust these .ini files within the program, instead of having to muck about within the .ini file itself. Any chance of including that in a future release? |

Once the .ini file is stable, you don't need to edit it. |

| New version. Version 1.1.0.2 (beta): 2006 05 13 - New: Updated to the latest mencoder build - New: The profile for the Sony PSP has been split into two - one for PSP firmware version 2.6 or better supporting better playback of progressive scan NTSC movies, and one for older firmware versions. - Fix: Archos and Epson P-2000/4000 profiles were broken - Change: Tweaked all profiles for higher encoding speed |

Thanks Alot and Happy Mothers Day ,! |
| Can someone who has Firmware 2.7 try to see if a Movie made with Beta 2 works. I can play it in Quicktime, but on the PSP it says Unsupported Data. |

| Ok, I apologize if my first post came off sounding snotty, that wasn't my intent. It was meant to be humorous, but I can see how it could be misread. That said, I still have problems with 1.1.0.2. It doesn't crash out on me the way .0 did, that issue was with the disk that I tried. Murphy's law. However, I still can't get anything out of it that will play on my Archos AV320. I've tried 9 different dvds, all pre-ripped to my hard drive. They all come up with a funky, garbled audio. Some of them also play too fast. I've tried different settings, including the generic divx. I can't get any of them to work. I'd like to make one suggestion also. Please add a 320*xxx setting into the av320, I'm going to be converting files for use solely on the 320, and that gives the best filesize for full screen viewing on the device. I can't believe I'd be the only person doing that, either. If you want more info, feel free to let me know what you need, and I'll happily provide it. I love the interface, and can't wait for it to be working right for me. On a somewhat related note, I also picked up Lathe (formerly PocketDivxencoder, or something like that). The files that produces work fine in my 320, so I know it's not my device. I don't like how that prog works in a lot of ways though. I'd rather use Clone. I've already purchased your entire suite, so I'm hoping you can help. Thanks, Larry |

What you could try is: 1.) Select a different Bitrate for the Audio stream. Try 64 instead of 128. 2.) Try an .mpg output profile instead of .avi, e.g. the one for the Apple iPod To test this, you could copy & paste the "AV320" profile and rename one of them to "My AV320", so you can edit this as much as you like. You can even specify different / additional resolutions (320x240 for 4:3, 320x180 for 16:9). For testing you can simply copy one chapter of a DVD, this should take not much time. Make sure to exit CloneDVD mobile before changing the devices.ini file. Good luck! |
| Here's another interesting tidbit. When I play the videos on the av320, the bottom portion of the video is garbled. It looks like you're holding a distorting piece of cellophane over the bottom 30ish pixels on the screen. It's a very clean break between good video and garbled, goes entirely across the screen horizontally. You can see the movie playing in the background, but its 'fuzzy'. Everything I convert with Mobile does that, as well as the bad audio. Can there be an interleaving issue or something where video data is being interpreted as audio, and vice-versa? As I said before, I'm willing to help out in any way I can, short of sending the unit to you (which would be the best, I know). |

If the AV320 is capable of playing MP4 files (I believe it is) you can try the Apple iPod profile. Regarding the garbled video - use a full screen source DVD (4:3) with an output resolution of 320x240. It would be good to know if this works. Just convert a single chapter to test if it works. |
| Ok, I've tried 6 or 7 variations and nothing works. The full screen doesn't have the video glitch, but the audio never comes up right. What should I try next? Is there a way to force CBR mp3 audio? From what I've read the av320 is more tolerant of that. Also, what are the valid bitrates and freq's allowed? I've tried the ones included in the .ini, as well as putting in 44100. No change, the audio all sounds almost exactly the same. I'd be happy to put a mike up the the headphones and email you an audio clip, if that would help. Oh, and it doesn't support aac audio. The ipod profile won't play at all. Thanks, Larry |
