Bummer about the PSP AVC profile as I was looking for this use I will try the other profile when I get home to check how the audio sync is. I notice that it always says Xvid Support but I've never seen any way to tell it to use Xvid, what does mencoder do automatically ?

All Profiles Generate a Mencoder error gives the long command statement then says the pipe is being closed, drive might be full try another locastion. The Drive has plenty of room

Ditto here Scarpad. I get the exact same error about the drive being out of space. I hope this info will help slysoft. If you check the "deinterlace video" checkbox before starting the process it will work. If it is unchecked then no dice.

Does it look Like it's is actually De -interlacing the video?

I did get it to work on TV Show DVD's without checking the box, but no dice on Movies that I've throw at it. One the one episode of the TV Show I threw at it it told me it was going to take 74 minutes. Using the same specs with the older version and FFMpeg the it takes 32 minutes ! Is Mencoder that much slower. It must be cause I tried Super with Mencoder and it was slow. The one thing I liked about Clonemobile is its speed . Do you find the new version alot slower, I might just stay with the older version.

Yes much slower! I tried to convert Zorro II and it took 90 minutes Then when it completed, I tried to opent he .mp4 and it said it was an invalid movie. Did your TV show DVDs actually work after they were converted? I would stay with the old version, but it was always out of sync with the audio. I'm sure slysoft will fix all this by the time it is a final release. They are great with all their other products and dvd mobile was late because the gentleman handling the project was severly ill. I wish him a speed recovery and dvd mobile one as well!

Not the PSP ones they all said invalid data like yours, the files I created for my Zen M worked OK, I'm not real sure Mencoder works with the PSP. It's too bad about the Audio sync because otherwise the AVC files from the older version looked great.

Has the trial period been reset with the bata version?
I tried a few movies with the last version, but always had audio sync problems, so I never really got to evaluate it before it expired.

Yeah it encodes with "deinterlace video" on but the infamous audio-sync issue is still there.

Yeah this Beta Was definately Not Ready for Primetime. It's almost like they released it because it's been so long that they had to release something.

why increase the audio bitrate? 128 is fine for portable devices!!!

Perhaps a choice of audio bitrate is better....let user choose

If you look into devices.ini you see the bitrate, and it is not >128.

Ok, just tried the new version, got the same error in just about the same place in the movie (may be exact, I didn't look that closely the first time). It thinks the drive may be full, I have over 20gigs free on that drive.

Do I hear 1.1.0.2 anyone?

One thing they have'nt changed in the PSP profile is support for Framerates other than 29.97 (Which Amplifies Ghosting) You can go into the Device.ini file and change it but I wonder if that truely will do the framerate you indicate. I'd like to hear back from anyone using it whether the audio/sync issues are still there for the PSP, also How is the speed? Have you actually played the output files on the PSP? FFmpeg was fast Mencoder seems not to be, but I compared the Mencoder encoding at what I suspect is Single pass, to what something like AutoGK does with 2 Pass and the times are similar, you can do a two pass in what it takes the new version to do one pass in. The nice thing about Clone Mobile was how fast it worked. I mean could you get a bit better picture if it was a two pass longer method ? Sure, but the image was decent for the speed and that all seems lost now.

Here are some observation of CloneDVD Mobile v1.1.0.1beta:

Archos profile does not have audio using VLC Player and doesn`t play at all using Nero Showtime but the Divx profile does have audio and will play using VLC Player or Nero Showtime.

PSP only supports 29.97 (current firmware 2.6). That's the way it is.

The sync issues caused by interleaved VOBUs and mullti angles are gone. Make sure you use a good decrypter with Arccos/Riplock protected discs (AnyDVD). If you want speed, make sure you are not writing on the memory card with CloneDVD mobile directly. This is incredibly slow, much slower than with previous versions. Write to harddisk, then copy the result to the stick.
To get the same quality & speed as old versions, change the devices.ini and remove the quality settings from

lavcopts=aglobal=1:vglobal=1:vcodec=mpeg4codec=aac:v4mv:trell:cmp=2:subcmp=2:mbd=2

to

lavcopts=aglobal=1:vglobal=1:vcodec=mpeg4codec=aac

The picture quality will then be as it was with 1.0.7.1

Oh yes, this is a bug in the devices.ini. Change the lavcopts line to the one from the DivX profile:
lavcopts=vcodec=mpeg4codec=mp3:v4mv:trell:cmp=2:subcmp=2:mbd=2

or

lavcopts=vcodec=mpeg4codec=mp3

if you want it faster.

Not until you give more details (DVD title, how decrypted, what profile used for output.) I assume you verified that 1.1.0.1 is really installed (click "about")?

To anyone interested:

I also have had nothing but audio sync problems when using Mobile for my PSP. Tried several different DVDs, none of them would get the audio even close.

Downloaded the beta last night, got those same errors - out of space, etc.

Tried the 'check the de-interlacing box' suggestion, at least the program did not immediately fail. However, the .mp4 files it created in this manner were useless.

Saw the latest beta update to version .1, installed it and set the same test DVD to convert and send directly to the PSP.

I am happy to announce that the film plays perfectly, and all audio is sync'd to the video. I cannot speak about any of the other formats, such as Archos, but I can say that the audio problem with the PSP seems to have been fixed. I will try some others, and also try to determine how much faster it is to master the file to HD and then copy instead of writing directly to the PSP itself.

Thanks Slysoft, I have enjoyed all of the software I have purchased from you guys. Please keep up the good work!

Yeah the PSP seems to be better. James Your Incorrect on the Framerate, they change it after FW 2.5 to allow for 23.97, 24, 25 and 29.97.

I use the Creative Vision M Profile. It's about 3 times slower, what use to take me 30 minutes is now about 90min. And the Quality at the same slider level is much, much worse. I've gone back to .71 for now.
