i know there have been answers to this sort of question, but i came accross a table sometime that said that the Yamaha 2200E was compatible up to 99 mins... ( i bet it was from a link on this forum, but i forget... i just saved it as an xls file)

before i ordered some 99 min cd-r's off the net (it seems as if they dont sell them in stores like CompUSA, BestBuy or the like) i emailed yamaha support... and they said "In regards to your e-mail, we only support 80-min cd's with this drive."

hmmm...

i have a few theories about this

1) the first source i found was wrong and my CD burner cant burn any more than 80 min cd's

2) Customer support never bothered testing it and they just say that it doesnt support it because it's an older model

3) customer support just doesnt "support" it and my drive really CAN burn it (they just dont want to be asked about compatible issues, burning problems... etc)

please tell me which is right!!!
(maybe anyone with this burner or with experience with higher min cd's?)

thanks!

yeah thats the source i saw before... is this a reputable website? (meaning can i beleive them)

also where would be a good place to buy 93 or 90 min cd's... when i search on google i find some sites that seem kindof shady (like a person just put up a page to get $$$)... where do you buy yours??

thanks
