| Some things about a Firewire 4-to-6 pin adapter I own an Acer Aspire 5672AWLMi limited edition and I want to use it with Ableton Live (a live instruments software). This requires an external, Firewire audio card and a MIDI controller. My notebook has got a 4 pin Firewire port, while the Firewire audio card has got a 6-pin one. I have heard about 4-to-6 pin adapters, but my question is: if I used one, would it create latency in transmitting data ? This is very important since if the latency in pressing the buttons on the MIDI controller is > 50 ms it is almost impossible to control the sound flux. |
