I got a performance bonus at work in 2010 and again in 2011. I've been spending a little of it on upgrades and future-proofing so I need to update my sig:

Raging PC (Homebuild with Tehshi):
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Motherboard
Intel E8500 3.16GHz
mushkin 4GB DDR2 800
VisionTek Radeon HD4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCIe x16 in X16 slot (NEW! in Crossfire with
POWERCOLOR Radeon HD4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCIe x16 in x8 slot (old)
WD640GB SATA Hard Drive times 3 (added one)
Iomega 1TB USB External HD (NEW)
SAMSUNG SATA SH-S223Q
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V v2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active (NEW)
...After killing two, yes two, OCZ GameXStream 700W ATX12V PSU in this rig
Antec Nine Hundred
Acer X193W+BD Black 19" LCD Monitor
OS Windows 7 x64
This one is running World Community Grid at 100% CPU 24/7/365 (application shared, uses whatever CPU that applications are not)
This one is running Folding@HOME at about 20% overclock 24/7/365 on both video cards running two installations since Crossfire and F@H don't play together).
F@H also moves out of the way whenever GPU is needed for other applications.

HP in basement (Franken-build on HP Original Chassis):
ASUSTeK 'P4SD-LA' Intel Pentium 4(HT) 2.80GHz,
Seagate 320GB HDD
Western Digital 500GB HDD
Seagate Barracuda 120GB HDD external in Plumax
2GB Memory
Realtek AC97 Audio
HIS Radeon X1950Pro 512MB GDDR3 AGP (NEW)
BenQ DW1655 (BCIB, no mods), Liteon SOHD-167T (9S1B)
OCZ StealthXStream 500W ATX12V PSU (NEW!!, since OCZ sucks, I have the two warranty replacement 700W replacements in reserve for this)
Windows 7 x32 (NEW)
Wore out 2 HP400i burners and a Liteon SOHD-166 reader in this one.
This one is running World Community Grid at 80% CPU 24/7/265 whenever the computer is not in use.

Conman:
TOSHIBA Satellite L505-S5969 Intel Pentium dual-core T4200(2.00GHz) 15.6" 3GB Memory 320GB HDD Intel GMA 4500M NoteBook (NEW!!! Inherited from my son TyeDyeHumps)
OS Windows 7 x32

Retired:
From the HP in basement: XFX nVidia GeForce 6800XT 256MB Video
Some Crap Dell with a P4 and 20gb HDD and no video card, Liteon DH-20A4H(QP53)
Tiger Computer running a P3 and Win98SE
Acer Aspire running a P3 at at 1GHz(woohoo!!!) : First burner, an Acer 4X CD lived here
MicroCenter PowerSpec running a P2 at 200MHz
MicroCenter PowerSpec running a Pentium at 90MHz

Waiting for some 120mm fans on backorder, that is why you may have noticed there is a fan missing on the H100 cooler

That's a monster, what CPU did you put on the ASRock? 2500k or 2600k?

The lighting was not supposed to be like that, I have to change the coolant to blue and the lights on the back of the mainboard to blue. I had no idea the Kingston Fans with 32gb kit would have blue LEDs.

Re: The Signature Thread: Post your PC Specs here

That's the same colour of lighting I have in my own PC but it's at the front of the case and I don't have a window at the side so it doesn't have quite the same impact.

Are you talking about the GPU cooler or the CPU cooler?

Hmm missed this thread entirely.

Avalon Aurora II (main rig, new):

ASUS P8Z77-V LK Motherboard
Intel Core i7-3770K
Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme Closed Loop Water Cooler
32 GB (4 x 8) G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 (9-9-9)
240 GB Kingston HyperX 3K SSD
1.5 TB Western Digital Green HDD (WD15EARS) -- second one is dying so doesn't count anymore
2 GB Gigabyte GeForce GTX670
5.1 ASUS Xonar DG
750W Corsair AX750 PSU
12X ASUS Blu-Ray Burner (BW-12B1ST)
NZXT Sentry Mix Fan Controller (6 channels)
Cooler Master Storm Trooper Case
+ 2 x 120 mm BitFenix Spectre Pro LED Fans (Red) -- Front Intake
+ 2 x 120 mm BitFenix Spectre Fans -- Side Intake
+ 1 x 120 mm Corsair SP120 High Performance Fan -- Rear Exhaust
- 1 x 120 mm Fan (still need to buy this one) -- Bottom Intake

25.5" ASUS VW266H LCD Monitor
5.1 Logitech Z-640 Speakers
Logitech G700 Laser Gaming Mouse
Logitech G100 Gaming Keyboard (Red backlighting set)

Some quick photos I just took (sorry for the blurriness). Need to spend a future weekend doing a proper photo shoot. This thing in the dark with my keyboard is sight to behold. Looks like a BSG tin can poised ready to strike.

@ Darren,

Oooooh. I am liking the look of that BitFenix case. Are the LED colors adjustable? Or are those two separate rigs?

@ Alan,

I think I liked it the way you had it before with red and blue lighting going on inside. It definitely had a more vibrant feel to it and caught my eye more than a single color.

@ Alan,

I think I liked it the way you had it before with red and blue lighting going on inside. It definitely had a more vibrant feel to it and caught my eye more than a single color.
Thanks Acreo, If it was just the two colors I might have left it but the green water hose didn't fit with the red and blue. So I decided to make it all blue. I also added a Coolermaster Mech Keyboard ( Storm Trigger). Your build is awesome, I am seeing alot of these Bitfennix Cases now, very surprising but their value has been raised by their nice design.

@ Alchav,

Hmm, I was expecting a SSD somewhere in there. Any plans on adding one to be your OS drive? Otherwise looks good. I like how you have a quality S-PVA Dell panel in there.

I thought about a SSD, but I wasn't sure about the reliability, they didn't have much of a Track Record. I also like Seagate and Western Digital HDD's. I'm not much of a Gamer, so the speed of my HDD's are sufficient for my needs. As for the Dell Monitor, I wanted to replace my 21" NEC CRT with a good quality LCD that complimented my Silver NZXT Case. I tend to keep my Rig set ups 5 years or more so I try to choose wisely.

SSDs nowadays are much more reliable than the first gen stuff that came out years ago. Keep in mind the NAND flash memory used in SSDs are much more reliable, faster, and generally higher densities than those offered on USB flash drives. Even a low-end SSD will be noticeably faster than most platter HDDs.

So given that, my Kingston SSD, for example, is expected to last me ~9 years with my current usage rate. That's about as long as some of my old platter drives and definitely longer than the majority of HDDs that I've had that have failed.
