samsung sc-152 cdrom and winxp

General Hardware Forum Discuss, samsung sc-152 cdrom and winxp at Computer Hardware forum; i try to boot win-xp with the samsung 52x drive i bought but win-xp wont load successfully it will hang at the loading screen. i tried it on both master and secondary but the problem is still there. however on another pc it works normally current setup barton 2500+ abit

current setup

barton 2500+
abit nf7-s
2 x 256mb ram

what could be the problem?

Hi,
yeah, that's a known issue with this SC-152C drive. The fix is with the C300 firmware. Look here:
