| PATA to SATA adapter + SATA controler I've bought ASUS M2N-E motherboard which has only one PATA(IDE) slot and six SATA. I'll use new SATA hard drive as boot drive but I have four PATA drives (HD, cd player, cd rw, dvd rw) which I want to conect too. But as I said there's only one PATA slot so I'll have to make use of SATA slots by using PATA to SATA adapter. But I've heard that SATA controllers don't "like" PATA optical drives (with adapter) and often make problems. If this happens what is solution? (please give detailed explanation) Also if someone had experience with this situation and possibly this motherboard especially please do write it here, and don't be afraid to give all the little details  thanx |

| Re: PATA to SATA adapter + SATA controler or you can get a PCI card with IDE ports, will probably be cheaper. |
