My GEFORCE 5500 went out on me, so I put in a E-GEFORCE 6200. I tried to install the drivers that came with the card, but Windows says they aren't certified, so I didn't install them. I downloaded the 91.85 driver from Nvidia and it totally screwed up my system. Had to do a system restore to get it back. My question is simply what driver can I use that is both certified and safe??

Re: nvidia card
So I suggest you uninstall the nvidia drivers (don't reboot), then run driversweeper Link (v. 2.05) and clean nvidia's drivers, then reboot and install the latest drivers from nvidia for your card (6 series).
Before doing the above, you might want to delete the nvidia folder if its on you c: root, because it might want to install from their automatically.
