I just bought a Musket 1200 UB Plus and its driving me crazy. I downloaded the Driver to install (loads of times from loads of different places). There is always one pitfall. It always says, when it detects my scanner in th USB port, that some files are missing. Does anyone have these files:

gt680x.sys
gtSB.ini
SBfw.usb
SBMiniDrv.dll
SBspi.dll

Maybe you guys could do a quick FIND on your HD to see if you have them? Maybe someone with this scanner already up annd going has them? Please email me the files if you have them at:

It must be a Mustek 1200. Well, it is known that some Mustek products have driver problems, especially some older ones with new drivers (Windows XP). I went through this process myself. I gave up.

You'll need to look at the serial label, maybe there are different chipset versions

And though it seems perverse, as with many other USB devices, the driver is installed BEFORE the device.
