Convert A/V to USB

At my friends house I found this really cool gizmo that basicly converted A/V cables from my analog video camera into a USB so that you can edit them and store it on a computer without all that expensive camera stuff.

Well my friend lost his CD that you install it with, so i cant use his but do you know what it is called or a place i can get it (website. ex. Circuitcity.com).

Sounds like a Dazzle, or some other USB video capture device, to me. There are plenty of them out there.
