CD ROM keeps ejecting

My CD ROM ejects everytime i insert a CD in the drive.
My computer is compaq deskpro exd

Can you elaborate a bit more. If the cd-rom ejects every time you put the cd in, well... isn't that normal behavior for inserting a cd into a cd-rom drive???

I think you should paraphrase in elaborative detail what exactly goes wrong.
