Can I upgrade my HP 8100 to a HP 9200 ?

General Hardware Forum Discuss, Can I upgrade my HP 8100 to a HP 9200 ? at Computer Hardware forum; I have an old HP CD Writer Plus 8100 and I'd like to upgrade its firmware to a HP CP Writer Plus 9200. Is it possible ? If it is, can someone explain me how i can do this ? Thanks.

No, I don't think so. The only HP I know is "upgradable" is the HP 8250i, which in fact is a 9110.

AFAIK,you can upgrade an HP8250 -->HP 9300 =10x4x32!

The HP 8250 is based on a Sony CRX120....there's a good chance it works on these drives too...
