Burning from external USB-HD to external DVD-Burner

| Hello, I have a USB hard drive and a DVD burner attached to my laptop. When burning, I always make sure to transfer the data from my internal hard drive to the DVD burner. I would like to know if this perferable or if is it perfectly ok to use the USB link to transfer the data directly from the external USB hard drive to the external USB burner. | Yes, you can burn from an external USB-HDD to an external USB DVD burner. I wouldn't try burning faster than 8x, however, because that will probably only make the burn stop and restart due to buffer underruns.
