General Hardware Forum Discuss, 66 MHz PCI bus at Computer Hardware forum; I keep seeing PCI cards that support 66Mhz speeds, but I have yet to see a MB that claims a 66MHz bus. Am I missing something? Or are there no boards that support 66?

I think it's a server thing.

Junior's Bar where the band is playing, just for me.
They play real loud, they move the crowd,
It's a poor boy's symphony.
Junior's Bar, until they kill the neon lights,
I hope I don't go home alone tonight.

Indeed, 66Mhz PCI is mainly supported by server boards. If you are willing to spend the money, there's no problem in using a server board for desktop needs. Just get a MSI K8D master, an Opteron 244 and off you go

atually my board supports 2X PCI 32/33Mhz 2X PCI 64/100Mhz and 1X PCI 64/66Mhz
but i dont use the full potential of an 64 bit 100Mhz PCI bus yet, those 64 bit U320 SCSI controllers are vey expensive cant afford it yet
