How to convert your DivX/ AVI to DVD±R
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DivX/AVI's that have been made properly are of superb quality. They are generally 1 or 2x 700 mb long, encoded with DivX or Xvid codec with 5 channel AC3 sound or stereo MP3 and all backed up from a DVD. While these have been traditionally converted by many to VCD or SVCD with great results, but always with a drop in picture quality, I thought why not convert back to DVD, retain the DivX picture quality (but still a drop from the original DVD) and now only on 1 disk.

Unfortunately there are many problems found with badly made DivX files. Headers missing or corrupt, bad frames, faulty audio, etc, etc. The list is almost endless. These problems need to be fixed first before proceeding as CCE will surely crash or the audio will not be extracted (nor converted) correctly. A few essential tools can help here to help fix these problem avi's:

This Tutorial makes a multi-region, auto starting movie (no menu or extras) with 1 audio track and with or without subtitles. It works for me and produces some excellent quality DVDR's. There are simpler all-in-one solutions ( WinAVI, DVD Santa, Cucusoft, etc) but their quality results are always inferior compared to a CCE encoded. However, read Note 5 on how to us this Tutorial to make multi TV episode DVD's with Menu.

This procedure uses DVD2SVCD as the work engine and it basically does all the thinking for you (I like it!). Those making (S)VCD's with DVD2SVCD will feel right at home here. CCE is used as the encoder for both speed and quality reasons, though you can use TMPGenc or the freeware QuEnc encoder. I have suggested TMPGEnc DVD Author as the authoring tool as that is simple to use, flexible and priced right. However, other good authoring tools such as DVDLab Pro or Maestro can also be used. DVDLab Pro is a "Maestro look alike" and if you can use one, then you should be able to use the other with little problems.

The latest DVD2SVCD can now automatically author your files for you using freeware DVDAuthor or the expensive Sonic Scenarist 2.6 r 2.7. However, this is not perfect with Scenarist and many problems for PAL conversions. So I would suggect you stay with DVDAuthor or stay with TMPGEnc DVD Author.

There can be problems with some DVD Players playing DVD-R or DVD+R discs, even different brands of media. So if it does fail, check the disk in a friends player to see if it works there. Try burning to a different brand of DVDR also if problems persist or try burning at lower speed. I can't fix those problem.


Software you will or may need:


1. DivX Codec 6.2.1 or later ( d/l from http://www.divx.com )
and Xvid Codec, the latest version ( d/l from http://www.koepi.org/ or http://nic.dnsalias.com/ )
2. AC3Filter - AC3 codec ( d/l from http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/ )
3. DVD2SVCD 1.2.3 Build 1 or later ( d/l from http://www.dvd2svcd.org )
4. Cinema Craft Encoder 2.50 (prefered) or 2.67 ( d/l demo from http://www.doom9.net/ - the demo includes a Watermark in the finale encode)
5. TMPGenc DVD Author 1.6.34.89 or later ( d/l demo from http://www.pegasys-inc.com/e_main.html )
6. Nero 7.0.x.x or later. ( d/l latest fully functional demo from http://www.ahead.de )


NOTE: Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT install the Nimo Codec pack or similar codec packs to get the DivX/Xvid, etc, codec. This pack has killed more systems than it has ever cured. You have been warned ! Also, the ffdshow (as a substitute for the DivX codec) is also known to crash CCE. Install only as I outline above and it will work.



You will also need a Computer with:


* Windows NT, 2000 or XP installed (will NOT work in Win95/98/ME as >4gb files will be created.)
* A Pentium III 550mhz or equivalent as a minimum (needed for CCE to run).
* At least 128mb memory (512mb preferred).
* Hard drive NTFS formated with at least 15 gb free and in one partition.
* A DVD Burner (either DVD-R(W) or DVD+R(W) ) to produce the DVD and some good quality DVDR's.
* A sound card and DVD software player (WinDVD recommended) to check the finished product.



Tips before we get started:

* Turn OFF your Screen Saver, it will simply slow the conversion down substantially.
* Do not run any other program in the background while DVD2SVCD is running, especially if you have a slower computer.
* Turn the screens colour depth to 16bit colour or better.
* Re-boot the computer just BEFORE you start the ripping, in this way you have the best conditions as possible. Do not under estimate this step, I find it essential to guarantee a 100% perfect encode.



So you have downloaded the software and checked that you have the right stuff in your computer. Sounds good, then lets get stuck into it!



Step 1: Getting Ready.


1. Install DivX, Xvid and AC3 Codec.
2. Install CCE.
3. Install DVD2SVCD and select the D2SRoBa and the AVI to DVD options during the installation process.
4. Install TMPGEnc DVD Author.
5. Install Nero.



Step 2: Checking the DivX/AVI file

1. Every version of Windows comes with Windows Media Player (WMP), so we will use that to check the AVI. You will need version 7 or better installed.

2. If the DivX is on a CD, copy it to your Hard Drive. If its in 2 parts, try joining these together first. (See NOTE: 1 below on how to do this.) If for some reason they cannot be joined together, then you simply encode each separately and author as one in TMPGEnc DVD Author, see Note 5.

3. Run Windows Explorer, locate your DivX file, and RIGHT Click on it. From the windows that opens, go to Properties, then Summary. You will now see all the characteristics of the file. Write down the Frame Width and Height and Frame Rate as we may need them later on. Note the Data rate also and if data rate is less than 110 kb/s or the width is less than 480, then be aware that the quality of these AVI's are far less than perfect and I would suggest you convert these to a SVCD or VCD for better results. See the other Tutorials on how to do those. You can of course convert these to DVD but just remember, garbage in = garbage out. I prefer to convert these to 1/2 a DVDR with a Menu as converting to full dvdr size is a waste of good media.



4. You can use the Frame width and Frame height (from above) to work out the Aspect ratio of the movie but the simplest is to actually play it full screen. So play it in WMP, and hit Alt-Enter to get to full screen display. If there are no black bars top or bottom, then its a 4:3 full screen. On a 15" monitor, if there is about 1 1/4" or 3cm of black bars top and bottom of the screen, then its a 16:9. If there is about 2" or 5cm of black bars then its a 2.3:1 These 3 variations cover 99% of all movies. GSPOT also gives this data.


Step 3: DVDR Conversion.

1. When you installed DVD2SVCD, you should tick the D2SRoBa option and also AVI to DVD option when asked. D2SRoBa is a plugin to DVD2SVCD that only requires a 1 VBR pass to achieve the quality of a normal 4-5 VBR pass. Therefore, it is substantially quicker and highly recommended. See Note 4: below on how to set up Batch processing of 2 or more movies/episodes at the one time.

2. Run DVD2SVCD. It may complain it cannot find CCE, so click the Encoder tab and then browse your HD for CCE (cctsp.exe for ver 2.50 ) depending on where you installed it. This will happen 1st time it is run only. If you wish to use a later version of CCE such as 2.66 or 2.67 then you need to install EclCCE (from http://home.t-online.de/home/340044300675/ ), run it once and point to your cctspt.exe (the CCE executable). Then in the Encoder tab of DVD2SVCD, you now need to point to eclCCE.exe instead of cctspt.exe. CCE version 2.66 & 2.67 are substantially slower than 2.50 (about 15% slower) on a Pentium 3, AMD, AMD XP or Duron system and no visible difference in picture quality. For Pentium 4, AMD64 or AMD64 X2 systems, 2.67 is the fastest. DVD2SVCD is NOT compatible with CCE Lite or CCE 2.70 at the moment.

3. Click the Misc. tab, then select the Input File Type to be AVI and Output File type to be DVD. Then click Default Output folder to select the Output folder where all the files will go, this will require approx. 18gb free HD space for a PAL movie and 22gb for an NTSC movie! Untick Don't Delete any Files. Then check the box next to Convert divx3 to divx4 (can resolve CCE problem) as it can help CCE converting DivX3 encoded AVI's with no problems. This will be greyed out if DivX 3.11 codec is not installed and is not reccommended to be installed either. Dont worry, if the AVI plays fine in WMP, then ignore this step. Now shut down DVD2SVCD.



4. Run D2SRoBa and set CD Size to 4464. Tick the Use Transcoder if Oversized box if it is not. Leave all the other settings at their default, then click GO. It will now run and open DVD2SVCD.



5. Click the Conversion tab, and load in the DivX file. It will indicate its length and select an Aspect ratio mode and mark the Audio track. There is no Cut or Trim features here. Tick the NTSC to PAL box if your player cannot playback NTSC movies correctly, but be aware this makes the movie about 4% shorter in length and runs 4% faster, which is normally un-noticable. DVD2SVCD still has problems with most AVI's setting the correct aspect ratio. It tends to select 4:3 (No borders, encoded as 4:3) for everthing ! If its a true 4:3, then do not change it, however, if there were any black bars top & bottom when you played it earlier in WMP, then change this to Anamorphic (no boarders, encode as 16:9). This is normal for 90% of all movies. Click Auto Shutdown if you wish the PC to shutdown when encoding is finished.



6. Click on Finalize Tab, there is nothing in here to change.

7. Click the DVD Image Tab and click on DVD Author. Check the Fixed Chapters and enter 300 for a Chapter every 5min or what ever you prefer. Enter your initials or name as Data Preparer if you wish. You can also tick ISO Image if you will be using DVD Decrypter to do the burning, then also enter a CD label. If you wish to manually author your DVD (you may wish to add Menus, subs, etc. or more than 1 movie per DVDR), then check Don't Make Images and we will use TMPGEnc DVD Author or similar to do all the Authoring. See Note 5 below for that. If your adventurious and have Scenarist, then select that option.

8. Click the Subtitles Tab. Tick Rip Subtiles if you have external subtitle file to be included (read later on how to add this subtitle file in). Else, if you don't need Subtiles, don't click anything here.

9. Click the Multiplexor Tab, there is nothing to change here.

10. Click the Pulldown Tab, there is nothing to change or setup in here. This will run automatically only if a 23.976fps NTSC framerate is found in the AVI and will automatically convert it to a 29.97fps NTSC movie after the encode is completed.

11. Click the Audio Tab. The Audio 1 downsample 48 -> 44.1 option will be greyed out. Again, 90% of DivX's have 48khz audio, however if it was only 44.1khz, then it will be automatically converted during the Audio conversion process. See NOTE 3 below if you wish to manually convert it to 48khz later. For Audio 1 Bitrate, set it to 224 if the audio is MP3. If its a long movie (2hr plus) then I would select 192. The box for Autodetect Azid Gain (2 pass) should be ticked as this with Normalize the MP3 audio sound level. If your AVI containes 48khz AC3 audio, then and ONLY then select the Do Not Convert Audio option. Read the warning that pops up and use ONLY if the AVI contains AC3 audio.



12. Click the Frameserver Tab and select Resize Method to be LanczosResize (should be the default). Make sure Resize is set to DVD (720x480/576) ('cause thats what we are making folks!). Add ResampleAudio needs to be ticked if you have an AMD CPU, else CCE may crash.



13. Click the Bitrate Tab and set Max to 9200, Min to 200 and Max Avg to 7200. Unselect Min Avg if its ticked. The CD size will read 4464, or what ever you entered way back when D2SRoBa was first run. DVD2SVCD with the D2SRoBa plugin calculates the bitrate automatically for you to use the highest data variable bitrate (VBR) to fit onto your DVDR with your chosen audio streams.



14. Click the EncoderTab and make sure Cinema Craft Encoder is selected (and not TMPGEnc or Procoder). D2SRoBa automatically selects Multiple VBR with Number of passes set to 1. If it is not, change them to this. I set Image Qual. Priority to 17 & Bias to 20. Set the Time Code to 00:00:00:00. Click on the Advanced Settings button and set the N/M to 4. Tick "Close all GOP's" if you need to edit your files at some later stage, else leave unticked. For the MPEG2 Video Settings, select "ZigZag Scanning Order", "DVD Compliant" (untick if you use TMPGEnc DVD Author for any later authoring) & "Progressive Frames". If the DivX picture is "noisy" or poor quality, tick Anti Noise Filter and set to 4, increase to 8 if really "noisy". Set Intra DC precision to 10 and Colour Conversion should be set to "Convert to YUY2".
NOTE: TMPGenc or QuEnc can be selected instead of CCE as the encoder so if you intend to use either, just leave all their setting at default. QuEnc needs to be ver 0.53 or better. You CANNOT use the D2SRoBa pluggin with either TMPGenc, Procoder or QuEnc, it only works with CCE.



15. All is now setup and we are ready to begin the encoding. If you intend to be doing a few movies, all the setup above needs to be done once and will remain set to the same settings next time you run DVD2SVCD. (A good idea is to go to the Misc tab and click Save Settings, so you can always load in the settings later on if needed.) Next time you will only need to load the AVI in, probably set the Aspect Ratio, set the default output folder and then GO.

16. Click the Conversion Tab again and if all is ready, click the GO button. Click Start Conversion then confirm with OK. If you have selected Subtitles to be included, then click on Add External Subtitle Streams instead and when loaded & select the one you want. Subtitles must be in the *.sub (MicroDVD) or *.srt (Subrip) format. Then click the Go button again if you loaded in Subtitles.

17. Go to sleep, work or school as this process may take a long time. On a P550 it can take 12hrs or more! On an Athlon 1800, most movies convert in 2-3 hours. With an AMD XP 3200, it normally takes only 1 - 1 1/2hrs. On an AMD64 X2 4400 they take approx 30min.

18. When finished you will have in the default folder you selected, about 20-30+ files and a couple of new folders. There is a AUDIO_TS folder (empty) and a VIDEO_TS folder full of your new created VOB files plus suporting IFO & BUP file. These are ready to be burnt out with Nero or RecordNow MAX/DX, proceed to Burning step. If you selected No Images, these folder will not be there and we need only 2 of the files, the Video file Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv or Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv (or Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv if the Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv doesnt exists) and the Audio file Extracted_Audio_1.ac3 or Encoded_Audio_1.mp2. See Note 5 on what to do with these.

19. If you selected Dont Make Images, then the bbMPEG_video_01.mpg file should be played (for example with WinDVD) to check that the audio is in sync, the correct aspect ratio has been maintained and that the whole AVI encoded ok without loss of picture or audio from start to end. If you did make Images, then double click the VIDEO_TS.IFO in the VIDEO_TS folder to play the new DVD compilation and check for sync, etc.

20. If the audio file was origianlly MP3 it would have been converted to Encoded_Audio_1.mp2, then this needs to be converted to AC3 format for 100% DVD compliance. While most authoring software will accept a *.mp2 file for the audio, DVD Player playback will suffer on many brands/versions of DVD Players, particularly NTSC only ones. MP2 audio is not a specified audio for NTSC DVD's but is for PAL. Use ffMPEG with its ffMPEGGUI to convert the mp2 to ac3 format. You can use BeSweet but must be the latest version. Read the Audio to AC3 Tutorial on how to convert your WAV or MP2 files to a more complaint AC3 file.

21. We are now ready to Author these 2 files to DVD format.



Step 4: Authoring with TMPGEnc DVD Author

1. Run TMPGEnc DVD Author. From the opening screen, just click the Create New Project button.

2. In the new window, we then click the Add File button and browse to our Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv or Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv or Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv (MUST always use the Pulldown file if it exists) file.

3. In the next window, click the Audio Settings Browse button and locate your new created or extracted *.AC3 audio file. If it does not accept your AC3 file, read Note 3 below.

4. At the top, click the Chapters cut edit button. Now click the Add button. You can now manually add Chapter points (slow and painful !) or just select the option Automatically Insert Chapters with the Selected Interval and select 5 minutes (or anything else that suits your needs). Then click OK. Once the Chapters have been set, click OK again.

5. If you encoded 2 halves of an AVI separately, then in the same window as 2. above, load in the next Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv or Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv or Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv file. A Crutical Error window will pop up with video doesnt match Audio length or similar. Just cancel that window. Click the Audio Settings Browse button and locate your new created or extracted *.AC3 audio file. If it does not accept your AC3 file, read Note 3 below.

6. There is no need for a Menu since we have only one movie that will auto-start when we put it in our DVD Player, so click on the Output button.

7. The Create DVD Folder option should be ticked. Then browse to your optput folder. You will need 5gig free. When ready, click the large Begin Output button. If it reports an error about combined bitrate exceeding DVD standard, ignor this error, it will NOT make non-compliant dvd's if you continue. Sit back while it takes 10-15min to create all the VOB, IFO & BUF files needed for DVD playback.

8. Using Explorer, go to the folder where you just created the DVD files. There will be two new folders, VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. The AUDIO_TS folder will be empty. In the VIDEO_TS folder will be all the *.VOB, *.IFO and *.BUP files and their total size should be less than 4.37 gig. Do not delete, rename or move any of these files. If it slightly larger then 4.37gb, then just use DVD Shrink to trim it back to size, no quality will be loss.

9. Double click on the VIDEO_TS.IFO files and the Movie should start playing with WinDVD or your installed player. Check it out for corect aspect ratio and for lip sync at start and near end. We have now made our first DVD from an AVI and if all is well, we are now ready to burn the DVD.




Step 5: DVDR Burning.

There are 3 DVD burning programs that I have found that consistently produce compatible DVDR's that DVD Players can recognise and play properly (assuming they play DVDR's in the first place and your using good quality media). These are Nero 5.5.10.56 or 6.3.1.x, RecordNow MAX/DX 4.5 or 4.6 and DVD Decrypter 3.2.3.0 (which burns ISO files only).

Burning with Nero

1. Run Nero and shut down the wizard. Select DVD-UDF/ISO option if using v5.5.10.56 or DVD-Video if using 6.3.x. Leave set at all the defaults, enter a Volume Label in the Label tab.



2. Click the New button and browse to your new VIDEO_TS folder (Right Hand window) and drag it to the VIDEO_TS folder in the left hand window. Drag the empty AUDIO_TS folder across also as this maybe needed for playback compatability with some DVD Players.



3. Click Burn icon, set speed to 2x, 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x or 16x (or leave on Max) depending on the media rating and burner capabilities, then click OK. Sit back while the DVD is burnt to DVDR. Burning time for a full DVDR is 56min at 1x, 28min at 2x, 14 min at 4x and 8 min at 8x.

4. The excitement builds! As it finishes burning, rush it to your DVD Player, get a stubby from the fridge, something to nibble and sit back and enjoy the movie!

Burning with RecordNow MAX/DX

1. Run RNM and close the Wizard. Select Data and then check that your DVD Burner is the default burner (large Red arrow). Change if not.

2. Click the Add Files & Folders button and browse to you AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders, load them in.

3. Change the Volume Name to something meaningful, like LOTR_TWO_TOWERS.

4. Click on the Options button, and for DVD, change Recording Type to be "Track at Once (TAO), Closed" and File System Used to be "UDF- Up to 128 in Filename length, any char, plus 8+3 (Bridge)", then OK, phew !

5. Select burn speed to 2x, 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x or 16x (or leave on Max) depending on the media rating and your burner capabilities.

6. Click the red Record button and sit back and wait for it all to finish.

7. The excitement builds! As it finishes burning, rush it to your DVD Player, get a stubby from the fridge, something to nibble and sit back and enjoy the movie!

Burning with DVD Decrypter

1. Run DVD Decrypter and in the Mode tab, select ISO mode and Write. Or just hit the W key on your keyboard.

2. Browse to your *.ISO file and load it in.

3. If you wish to change the DVD Volumes name, just right click it and change accordingly using Capital letters and underscore only.

4. Select burn speed to 2x, 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 12x or 16x (or leave on Max) depending on the media rating and your burner capabilities.

5. Click the large Burn button and sit back and wait till its done.

6. The excitement builds! As it finishes burning, rush it to your DVD Player, get a stubby from the fridge, something to nibble and sit back and enjoy the movie!



NOTE: 1 - Joining 2 DivX together

1. Run VirtualDUB or NanDUB, click File and select Open Video file... Browse to the first DivX file and click Open (ignor and cancel any VBR MP3 error).
2. Click File again and select Append AVI Segment... and browse to the second DivX file, then click Open.
3. In both Video and Audio tabs, set to Direct Stream Copy.
4. Click on File and then Save AVI..., give a new name and Ok. Soon you will have 1 large DivX file made up the 2 smaller parts.
5. Play the new AVI in WMP and check audio sync, particularly in the later 1/2 of the movie.
6. You can delete the 2 small DivX files if all is well and your short on HD space.


NOTE: 2 - Converting Audio 44.1khz to 48khz

1. Instal latest GoldWave (from www.goldwave.com )
2. Click Open and browse to your Encoded_Audio_1.mp2 file.
3. Click on Effects button, then Resample. Change the Rate Hz to 48000, then Ok.
4. Click Save, it will then object to saving in its original form. Select WAVE and attibutes at PCM signed 16 bit, stereo. Give a new name and hit Save.
5. Use this WAV file to convert to AC3.
6. Note: TMPGEnc, BeSweet, etc. can also be used to convert 44.1 to 48khz if you already have these and know how to use them.
7. Note: ffMPEG can also be used to convert the 44.1kHz *.mp2 directly to *.AC3 at 48kHz in the one step.


NOTE: 3 - Problem AC3 files

1. Install latest BeSplice and its GUI BeSplit (both from www.doom9.net download section )
2. Run BeSplit.
3. Simply drag you AC3 file into the small picture of BeSplit and in the small pop-up window, select Fix File.
4. It will suggest a new name for the file, click OK.
5. Soon you will have a working AC3 audio file.


NOTE: 4 - Batch Mode Encoding

1. Load in your AVI in the Conversion tab of DVD2SVCD as above and set it up the way you want.
2. Start the encode. With an AVI, the first thing it does is extract the Audio track. Wait until this is finished and when the audio conversion starts, then shut DVD2SVCD down.
3. Reopen DVD2SVCD and load the next AVI in, set to a different output folder, set it up and start it also. Then shut DVD2SVCD down just after the audio is extracted and audio conversion starts.
4. Continue doing this with each separate AVI. Remember, you will need a lot of HD space if your going to do a lot of them.
5. Then make and save a simple Batch file ( I call mine BATCH.BAT ) in Notepad to look something like :

6. Naturally, if you installed DVD2SVCD elsewhere, change the C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\DVD2SVCD.EXE to wherever you installed DVD2SVCD and the C:\TEMP1, etc. to the folders you used where DVD2SVCD saved the files for each AVI. Dont forget to include the quotes "".
7. Change the -Exit on the last line to -Shutdown and it will shut the PC down when all is done.
8. Make an Icon on your Desktop for the Batch.bat and simple run it when your ready to start the batch encoding.


NOTE: 5 - Multiple Movies/TV Eps per DVD

1. For those that have short movies or TV episodes and wish to put many to a DVD with a simple Menu then just follow the tutorial about but with these few changes.
2. To maintain good quality put no more than 3 hours worth of movies/episodes else the bitrate is so low that playback quality suffers dramatically. For best, I'd suggest either 3 or 4 x 42min TV eps (6 to 8 x 21min episodes) or 2 x 60-90min movies to 1 DVDR.
3. To put 4 equal length TV eps per DVD, then in the above tutorial we need to change in the Bitrate tab, the CD size to 1/4th of a full DVD size. So 4464 / 4 = 1116, so put in 1120. If 3 per dvd, then put in 1490 and for 2 per dvd, use 2235.
4. In the DVD Image tab, it needs to be set to No Image.
5. Audio should have Audio Bitrate 1 set to 192.
6. Then encode all movies/episodes in Batch mode (see Note 4 above) to their own folder. They can of course be done individually.
7. The 4 created files need to be Authored to a compliant DVD standard. TMPGEnc DVD Author (TDA) is used for this.
8. Run and use TDA as described in "Step 4: Authoring with TMPGEnc DVD Author" above to load in first movie/episode.
9. Then click on Add New Track and load in next movie/episode. Repeat until all are loaded in.
10. Now click on Create Menu button and in top left hand window, select the type of Menu that suits you. Change background image if you wish, change fonts, colours, etc. Enter in Headings text and Episode names/numbers, all to your liking. Make sure First Play Action is set to Display Main Menu.
11. Click on Output button and tick on Create DVD Folder.. Browse to an Output Folder and click Begin Output.
12. In a few minutes you will have a VIDEO_TS folder full of the DVD files and an empty AUDIO_TS folder.
13. Burn the VIDEO_TS folder with NERO as above or your favourite burning software.
