I use this program with TV rips and it only works with a few rippers. Shows by LOL do work. All others do not (TVL, UMD, CTU). I am sure it is a combination of people not ripping correctly and the program not figuring out to handle various differences. The TV rips do play fine on the computer pre-divx-to-dvd.

Typical problems are av sync issues as time goes on, video/audio play too fast (like 2x fastforward), or no sound at all.

I'm trying this out to convert some .avi files to DVD. The results seemed promising b/c the conversion process went without a hitch.

BUT...

I'm having the same difficulty w/ audio sync. Mouths are just a bit off, but they are fine watching them on the PC.

Ah, well, it is a program with potential. Perhaps w/ more time....

Can anyone comment about the audio sync problems? Is VSO even aware of the issue?

More minor, but even though I unchecked the option to start play automatically, the DVD starts automatically. I have to press the menu button to see it.

Hello,

the best you can do for us is post a log file, that way we can see with what version you tested.

It is true Convertxtodvd 2.0 was supposed to solve a lot of the audio sync problems. I do not think VSO has a case where this is still a problem. I suggest contacting them directly, (or PM me) and to see of there if they do not need a file like yours that is still causing problems.

Hello All,

I have one question, and I hope that you guys don't think that it is silly. Here it goes; I'm currently stationed in Iraq, and I was looking for a way to turn PAL/NTSC, so I ordered DVDtoDivX but I can't seem to get it to work... Could some one please help me, any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks in Advance

Hi,

Of course we can try and give you a hand. Please tell us where the problem is coming from. What steps can you accomplish and when do things become difficult. If you could add the log file, that would help us out as well. (you will find the log file by going to C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Vso)

thanks

I recently tried this software and it really was wonderful in most of what it did. However I also was interested in converting PAL to NTSC. I managed to convert but the result only came out in widescreen 16:9 even though I selected 4:3. when I selected 16:9 the result came out in (i'm not really sure actually). All I do know is that it was a square in the middle of my screen surrounded by black all the way round. Do you have any idea about this? I have been in constant communiaction with support trying to find out what caused this. So far no answer.

Hello,

What version did you use? Have you tried with the latest version available, I believe this might have been an aspect ration bug, that is now corrected.

Thanks for posting a log file here we can help figure out what might be going wrong.

You will find your log file C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Vso
