No but I do have Blindwrite Suite 4.2.9 installed which has the autoplay function but it doesn't seem to work even after verifying that the option is indeed enabled. Isn't autoplay supposed to do the same thing as CloneCD's hide CDR media option? Besides, I chose not to install the CloneCD Virtual Drive when I installed CloneCD. The hide CDR media option is always greyed out. Is this because I opted to not install the virtual drive option?

I was not aware of this. So does this mean that If I installed the game from the burner instead of the DVD reader, then Blindwrite's autoplay function would work?

No it's because your regional settings are for the US (or Japan). See the CloneCD Faq on the CloneCD forum for how to enable AWS and hide cdr media if you live in the US.

Should do but why bother? If it runs from your dvd the back-up copy is good so why not run it from there. (You'll extend the life of your burner a little if you run your games from your dvd anyway.)

Hello again philamber,

If I chose to install BR 3.0.0.23, should I first uninstall my current version of Blindwrite Suite 4.2.9? Will they interfere with each other if I don't uninstall first? Or can they co-exist together without problems?

I doubt that the two can co-exist so you'll probably need to uninstall BW 4.2.9 before installing BR 3.0.0.23. Still you're welcome to try.

I also tried this, I check and folder view for FTP sites is checked.Applied it again,Went and tried to d/l again,

becuse i was the 1st persion to notice that this version backs up securom NEW very easy compared to the later version builds
and everyone else has followed...

trust me

this versions + points are NO EMULATION ROUTINES INTERGRATED.

but wat about the lastest ones? any good?

i copied hitman 2 with 4.5.1.69 with no EWS or autoplay and it works fine!!

havent tried the latest one tho...

that latest versions should be as easy to backup with 4.2.5 as you did with hitman.

can someone please help me by telling me which version is best for burning mp3 files with a cue....at 1 point in time i had no problems burning them and they would be read in my car. now after updating many times this no longer is possible. the first problem was they would burn fine but not be readable in all players, now im at a point where no matter which file i choose it freezes and gives me error messages about the TOC. im goin to uninstall now and add the latest version and see what happens. but i would like to use the "golden oldie" that worked great last year...thanks in advance for any help

Having an issue downloading BlindWrite 4.2.5

I do click on save as and I get the following message

Internet Explorer cannot download blindwrite_full_setup.exe from ftp.atfile.com
The server returned extended information

Anyone have any ideas or different link I can try.

I am also having a problem trying to d/l from the links at the front. I've tried all the links from ver 4.2 to ver 4.2.9 without success. I've gotten a "can't find server" / "the page can't be displayed" error for all of them.

Does anybody have another way to get ahold of a copy of ver. 4.2.5 ? A friend suggested that I try it to resolve an issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanx for all the useful information, but I dont seem to be able to download any of the BlindWrite versions particularly 4.2.5 the recommended version.

I have the latest from their site but dont seem to have huge success in using it, so thought I would try 4.2.5

If someone can provide a semi-permanent place to host 4.2.5 and some BWA files, I'd be happy to put them up. By semi-permanent, I mean ... somewhere where they can and will be available 24-7 for a month or more.

yes they have mate....
from now on im only listing 4.2.5 and the newest build and the previous builds.....

the old server took a beating :P
