Alcohol120% on Vista RC1 Successfull Install

I have a way to install Alcohol 120% on Vista RC1 Perfectly, if anyone would like this info i will post it...

If your refering to moving the CDRom-SYS its old history and not fool proof and can cause your system to screw up, RC1 will never be supported by Alcohol as its an old Beta version

Well, no, there is a way to install the latest Alcohol on RC1 without modifying anything, and it works perfect with all emulations..

Tell you what, you PM me a system report from within Alcohol and screen shots of it running in RC1

Our Beta testers are presently testing our latest beta for Vista RC2 and even now bugs have shown up that require fixing, so presently Alcohol is simply not Vista compatible

If it is indeed vista, have you tried using the virtual drive?

yes i do use the virtual drive(s) with no problem atall, both cd and dvd images.

I recieved the system report you PM´d me, but i think we can stop this now as your report shows the older (RC1 5600) MS have updated this version twice now. the only problem with that version and Alcohol was the hardblock had not at that time been removed by MS they have now done this in their latest versions.

so what version of RC1 is there problems with ?
and have you actually tried my method on these newer versions ???

Dont need to waste time on old RC that will never be officialy supported by MS or ourselfs.

so then we don't know if it will work on Build 5744 yet, well i have this will give it a go !!

Might be a silly question but why try it on 5744 when the extract of my system report shows that we already have a version ready for RC2 5744

What about Pre-RTM build 5840. Is that supported?

well, i have that version coming down as we speak, will test it on that version aswell

Whilst work on vista support is well under way, we don't actually provide technical support for this OS yet until it has been officially released.

I also have Vista RC1 build 5600 and dl Alcohol 120% trial version 1.9.6.4719.
It won't work, so I could do with some help or advise, please.

Alcohol works fine with Vista RC2 build 5744 and upwards, we do not support older RC1 Beta versions
