Anything that can read/write a dvd as an image will work fine.
There is nothing tricky about them.

I think someone is being modest as dvd decryptor (free) is about the easest program for DVD based ps2 games
mode\iso\read then mode\iso\write.
You can also use nero, recordnow max and alcohol etc etc
And for cd based clonecd and alcohol are good..
