Video_TS.IFO

I downloaded a video from a P2P network. It plays on my computer and I want to put it on a dvd-r disk.. But it's too big. So I downloaded DVD Shrink and when I go to 'Open Files' and to the folder that has the avi file.. then click Ok and I get this.

I do not think that Shrink will burn .avi files, I think they have to be converted first, but make sure this is not copyrighted material or you will be in violation of forum rules and the law.

I can give you no futher help in this matter unless I know whether this material is copyrighted. If it is actual footage of the movies, it is copyrighted and cannot be copied. I suggest you read the forum rules before posting again.

Re: Video_TS.IFO

I said they're skits that people put on stage. o_o Ever seen Mad TV, like those but these are ordinary people being retarded and making fun of movies and all centered around Prairie Home Companion.

But oh well. I'll see what I can do since you won't help a person in need. v_v;; I sense a powertrip and a bad day for you.

Guess What Tiggy, I had all the answers you would've needed but since you decided to be a little snippy towards someone who is trying to moderate the forum properly, well you're on your own now, sorry dude.

BTW, when I seen this thread earlier with only your initial post, I didn't reply because I also wasn't sure if helping you with what you downloaded from P2P would be against forum rules. That's all Alan was trying to get an answer to.

Thankyou MBK, at least some people understand the rules of the forum.

Re: Video_TS.IFO

There are so many ways to convert this avi file , which appears to me to be perfectly legal.

If you have a full Nero version then Nero Vision would do a decent job.

You could look over at www.videohelp.com as there are loads of guides there or here at CDF in the Guides & Tutorial section in the Video Edit Software forum.

Too many people , including some of the moderators, assume that everything on P2P is illegal , when in fact there is a whole host of perfectly legal stuff available.

Re: Video_TS.IFO

@TimC,
Unfortunately there are also many P2P downloads of copyrighted video and I was merely backing Alan's attempt to find out whether or not the video was copyrighted material.

BTW, there are better options than Nero Vision Express for the conversion, but again, I feel no need to help when all he had to do is say, 'no it is not copyrighted', instead of making a snide comment.
