ps3 dvd backup problems

I experienced this strange thing.. and I'm thinking that is some kind of verification from sony or some kind of incompatibility with the clonedvd output

some dvd backups doesn't work on ps3, everything is fine on other dvd players. I was thinking the problem was the media but any titles works good on the same media

I'm burning with a pioneer 111d with the last firmware, the media are dvd+r verbatim, the software that I'm using is anydvd+ clonedvd2

The master dvd plays on ps3 the backup no. The backupcopy works great on others players

the following titles doesn't play on ps3

- apocalypso
- the covenant
- The Pursuit of Happyness
- the departed
- The wicker man

When the backup is put inside ps3 the screen go black and then it came back to XMB



does anyone experienced same problem?

My son just bought one of the PS3'S I Will try some of my backups for the heck of it and aren't all of those movies sony releases if so that would account for them refusing to play in the PS3 as the company hates folks backing up their purchased dvds.
I even read that Sony put out out a dvdplayer that would not play some new releases because of the protections they put in the dvds sony's tech response was we will have a firmware update
that you can download and install ...what a crock can you imagine if the person that purchased that model and did not have a computer....

the problem youve got is that the dvd probably isnt region free i had that problem with them on my ps3

I'm having trouble with my b/u of 'Sunshine' by foxlight pics playing on my PS3.

I tried a regular split with all protections removed and pathplayer set to 'when neccesary' -- everything plays but movie tracks.

I tried another split leaving the region untouched -- still nothing in the PS3 on movie tracks.

Disks work fine on the computer DVD-Rom. hmmmm I'm gonna try *not* removing any protections, but after that??
