Rapidshare shuts down on March 31st

The popular file locker service Rapidshare has announced it will discontinue its service on the 31st of March. After that date all user data will be deleted, the service recommends users to secure their data.

Rapidshare has announced the discontinuation on their website, "kindly note that RapidShare will stop the active service on March 31st, 2015. Extensions of Standard Plus and Premium will be possible until February 28th, 2015. We strongly recommend all customers to secure their data. After March 31st, 2015 all accounts will no longer be accessible and will be deleted automatically. "

The Standard Plus account offered 300GB of storage at $49.99 per month, the Premium account allowed users to store data up to 700GB at $99.99 per month.
