My old computer recently went bad. I was burning DVDs with DVD Shrink, Nero 6.0, and DVDFab if shrink was not working. I recently got a new computer with Windows Vista. I lent my Nero 6.0 disk to a friend and he lost it. When I bought my new computer I bought Nero 9.0 and that and shrink burn my dvds great, but they will not play on my DVD players (which are almost brand new) and will not play on my Xbox 360. I recently found a friend who let me borrow his Nero 6.0 disk and I am not able to put it on my computer because it does not work with Vista. I guess it is too old. Does anybody have any suggestions about how to get Nero 9.0 to play my DVDs on my DVD players or on how to get Nero 6.0 to work on my new computer? I am using Sony DVD+R and the movies with Nero 9.0 will either freeze during the previews, skip to the end of the movie, or just not play I have never been this frustrated ever with burning DVDs and I am about ready to pull my hair out.

Thanks
Nick

Any reason to insist on Nero even though two versions are giving you trouble already? Why not use free ImgBurn and Deepburner?

I am not sure what ImgBurn and Deepburner are. Do they work well. I thought I downloaded ImgBurn, but something else I think burnexpress was downloaded. Are they easy to use and could you give me a walk through on how to burn a disk using those programs? I am using Nero because I have been using those for years, but if those two work and are just as good and/or better I will give those a shot.

How is it possible you downloaded burnexpress when you went for ImgBurn? Go to ImgBurn.com and Deepburner.com and read the help files on how to use the programs.

Thanks for all your help. I just downloaded ImgBurn and Deepburner. I think I clicked on Express burn by accident and that is how I ended up with Expressburn. Is ImgBurn pretty user friendly? I have been using Shrink, FAB, and Nero for so long that I might have a few questions for you if I can' figure it out.

Thanks again, I will be excited when I am able to start burning movies again!
