I think it's past time this thread was closed.

When it was started it raised the serious problem of a new protection from Sony but as that protection has now been defeated by at least AnyDVD, Dvd Fab and the freeware Dvd Decrypter (and, for all I know, other rippers too) there really doesn't seem much point in leaving it open; certainly there's no point if all that's occurring are exchanges of abuse between members.
