Well Success!!! but in a way you would NEVER believe, I got an ILO brand dvd player/recorder, the kind you would put in an entermainment center, for christmas, and I hooked up and old old old toshiba dvd player to it, and just for the hell of it, I hit record, I aruged with my grandson, but he insisted it would work, and it did, so there you have it, when i put it in my computer, the ILO DVD player/recorder had removed the incrypsion, and it plays just fine. By the way, got the ILO at Walmart.

Burnt the .iso file with DVDDecrypter.

Back-up copy plays in PC using Power DVD
also works with Interactual Player.

Popped it into my Pioneer DV-260 connected to
Toshiba HDTV ...works great

Sometimes things work, sometimes they don't but there's
always a way. If you can play it you can copy it.

40" is small potatoes bubba.

My point was that I've tried to back it up 3 times via the VOBBlocker/DVD Decrypter method. Works fine on my standalone DVD player but won't play on my PC.

I'm wondering if there is still some remnant of the copy protection floating around.

3 tries with my 708. Can't play it on the PC... dunno why. I didn't disable autoplay when I inserted the DVD, I'm wondering if something somehow slipped in.

Using PDVD 5 Deluxe. Wonder if it's a decoder issue... would also explain why I can't play it on WMP9.

NP. Do me a flavor an email me the PSL... brett0903@yahoo.com lightning hasn't opened up the forums, so I can't get access to the DVDD file.

Thx

See last post on first page. I think many of us would appreciate it if someone that has a user account on the DVD Decrypter Forums would download the PSL file or pass it on to someone that can host the file.

Registration is currently closed on the forums so you need to already be a member to be able to get access to the file.

FYI just tried VOB and the latest version of CloneDVD. Works fine and doesn't make WMP/PowerDVD go boom.

However I'd still appreciate it if someone that has the patch for DVD Decrypter would email it to me or host it.

I too had problem ripping this movie. Then I used the suggestion of using VobBlanker and then Dvdshrink to shrink down the file size. It works!!
Awesome forum. Another movie ripped!!

LIGHTNING UK! posted a response to a similar thread on doom9 7 days ago. Found this within a minute or so. What are the rest of you doing?

<link to thread> - you'll need to look on page 2 of the thread posts

Regards,

TZ

Edit: just noted that you need to be registered on DVD Decrypter forums to get the file required for this to work; the administrator isn't accepting any new registrations for now. Just have to wait for an updated version then!

Thanks for putting up the PSL.

Anyone know the difference between the two versions of the movie when using Recode/Shrink?

Thx... you're a wealth of information today.

Didn't want to toss another disc out the window.

FYI, VOB/ CloneDVD2 method didn't yield the best results in some of the darker scenes. DVD Decrypter with the PSL fix and Recode seems to look a fair bit better.

You guys were right.... Using Super DVD Copy sure did the trick... only the first time i tried it... i tried to rip AND burn with it and it Ripped ok but burned with errors on it. So the way i did it was use Super DVD Copy to Rip it. Then use AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 to burn. Burned the Wide Screen and Full Screen Version as 100% quality...... Perfect

Note: This is for the Special Edition of RE: Apoc.
