| DVD Burning Problems Well I was recently trying to burn some vob files onto a disc using dvd shrink and for some reason it just quit working, I have never had any problems up to this point. I just let it go and burned it on the other computer, but now I have a file that I can only burn on this computer because I do not have the means to transfer it, it is an image in the form of a UDF for windows vista beta. But I cannot figure out what the problem is because now this won't write either. This is the printout I got when I was trying to copy the .vob files over the first time it got an error: 1A23-1026-5404-5001-8270-3550 1A23-5026-3388-4423-3774-3073 Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 11/2/2004 12:54:32 PM NT-SPTI used Nero API version: 6.6.1.4 Using interface version: 6.0.0.0 Installed in: C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\ Application: ahead\Nero - Burning Rom Internal Version: 6, 6, 1, 4d Recorder: <HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4166B>Version: 1823 - HA 1 TA 0 - 6.6.1.4 Adapter driver: <IDE> HA 1 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ? === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : ST3160021A atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4166B atapi Port 3 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : SAMSUNG CD-ROM SC-148A atapi Port 3 ID 1 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4166B E: CDRom0 SAMSUNG CD-ROM SC-148A F: CDRom1 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 83886080 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 1023MB (1048048kB) Free physical memory: 568MB (582324kB) Memory in use : 44 % Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 9.6.2006 NeroAPI 2:50:09 PM #1 Phase 111 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 275 DVD-Video files sorted 2:50:09 PM #2 NEROAPI 7 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3095 Error:\nCannot connect TRF. 2:50:09 PM #3 Text 0 File AudioCompilationImpl.cpp, Line 867 DRM: DRM burn session terminated. 2:50:09 PM #4 Text 0 File AudioCompilationImpl.cpp, Line 896 DRM: Closing entire DRM handling. | Re: DVD Burning Problems Thanks for the note. But........we would lose the functionality of DVDShrink automagically calling Nero for the burning. I.E., the nice setup pre Nero ROM 6.6.1.4 was that you fire-up DVDShrink and it does the encoding and then burns to Nero all without you having to do anything. Using what you say above, would this functionality be lost?

| Re: DVD Burning Problems If you create an ISO file, with my suggested method the ISO must be burned manually. There is a patch for dvd shrink that call imgburn instead of nero, but not always it works. If you want to try, there are more informations here http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869 |

| Re: DVD Burning Problems There is a modified version of DVD Shrink that gets around this problem. Not sure where to find it though. |
