MaxVeloSSD 2.3.1.1 released - use SD Card or USB drive to speed up PC

Our friends from Elitebytes have released version 2.3.1.1 of MaxVeloSSD which adds the capability of using USB 3.0 drives and SDxC memory cards to speed up the PC. Both media are now also supported as caching media in MaxVeloSSD.

Besides using a SSD and now also USB 3.0 drives and SD memory cards MaxVeloSSD is also able to use the system’s RAM memory as a cache. Caching software works by storing frequently accessed data on the fastest available storage of the system, while keeping less frequently accessed data on slower storage.

Here is the changelog for version 2.3.1.1:

  • Support for USB3- and SDxC Volumes as caching media.
  • Multi language user manuals and help system.
  • Support for caching Volumes mounted in Folders has been added.
  • Several fixes improve stability and performance.
  • Announcing the availability of an equivalent update for VeloSSD until end of November.

MaxVeloSSD works on all Windows versions from XP to Windows 8.1 and also on Windows Server 2012. The software can be used together with RAID, Fibre Channel, LUN, SAN, iSCSI, UEFI and Safe Boot volumes without any limit in capacity. Also any SSD can be used, including SATA, mSATA, PCIe and DIMM SSDs.

Elite Bytes stresses the software has been thoroughly tested and due to the nature of how it works will never cause any loss of data.

MaxVeloSSD is available in 4 Editions starting at $14.99 | Discuss this software in our VeloSSD Forum
