Cyberlink PowerDVD Copy, how good is it?

Has anyone tested this program yet? I've seen that it's been out for quite a while, but I haven't found a single review or thread about the program.

If anyone here has tested it I'd like to hear did you like it? And is it as good as the leading copy programs like DVD Shrink/CloneDVD/Pinnacle Instant Copy?

Re: CyberLink PowerDVD Copy, how good is it?

I think this product has been out for quite a while. For over few months actually. The interface looks quite nice, but I haven't had time to test it out more. I've really been wondering that actually *no-one* has mentioned about this program in forums and I haven't managed to find a single review about it.

Knowing that CyberLink is leading DVD player software manufacturer with their PowerDVD product, I could assume that this program might be quite good actually.

If anyone is interested in testing it more they have free trial available at their website.

With this info on their website:
*PowerDVD Copy supports duplication of non-CSS protected content.

I would assume that it cannot copy a copy-protected hollywood movies but only personal videos and like they said "non-CSS protected content". You guys agree?

Been there done that too, in the intrests of testing these things of course.

One word sums up the quality and it is C R A P as you say

I cannot believe people buy software like this when DVD Shrink is FREE especially as (AFAIK) there is a free demo for just about every single transcode software on the market right now which enables the end user to try before they buy.

Re: Cyberlink PowerDVD Copy, how good is it?

This program sucks ass. I have used it and every DVD (unknowingly of me) turned out to skip so bad it wouldnt read anymore. So now I have 8 DVD's that wont work (remind me never to burn more then 1 DVD before checking to see if the first one runs the whole way through)

I just bought cyberlink dvd suite ultra 6, in Nov. After installing 3 times because of errors, email support took 2-3 days to get back, and only answered 1 question at a time. Their fixes for regs pop ups has to delete and rename files and folders. The program ($100 upgrade) is very basic every thing you try to do needs add ons for $14.95 and up. Also it killed Roxio and Nero. I thought I was buying a full program for that price, do not buy for their burning apps.

I reviewed this program and I found it severely lacking in many areas. It conflicts with many other well known burning apps. and I would not use it again.
