I'm tired of my friends returning my movies scratched or even worse, not returning them at all.

DVD Decrypter

MODE->ISO READ
MODE->ISO WRITE

Really quite simple.

Hi, I´ve tried succesfully this with NERO 7, DVDFAB Platinum (choose option double layer) and DVD-Clonner.
Good luck and also ANYDVD or REGION CSS free

not that i want to discourage posting of solutions, but yours is far more complicated than it needs to be. just use Gurm's method.

Might I also suggest using VERBATIM DL media. I've had very good results on both PIONEER 110 and BENQ1640 burning @ 4X.

Hi people and thanks for posting advice on this problem. I have been backing up my dvd's using dvdshrinker and imgburn for a while but I too wanted to burn dvds 1:1 onto dual layer dvds.

I have tried gurms method and used the dvddecrypter iso read process on a dvd movie I own, which completed successfully.

I then put a Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL disc into the drive and tried to use the iso write process with the iso file I had created.

The first message said 'You should have selected the mds file and not this one. I'll do it for you automatically this time, but don't do it again!'

O.k. so no problem there I just clicked OK and then clicked on the 'write' button hoping things would work.

Soon a second more serious message came up, this read as follows;

'I/O Error!

Device [1:0:0] MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ-210S 1.05 (D (ATA)

ScsiStatus 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: BF 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 0C 00 00
Interpretation: Send DVD Structure - DVD+R DL Boundary Information

Sense Area 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 1C 25 73 03 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 00 00
Interpretation: Power Calibration Area Error'

I cant understand why this isn't working as my drive can write blu-rays discs, or is it a software mistake I am making. Any help would be appreciated as I've spent a fair amount on the DL Discs.

I forgot to say that in between the first and second messages I also get another error, it reads,

'Failed to set L0 Data Zone Capacity!

Reason: Power Calibration Error
