Hi and welcome to the forum

Often this problem is due to a media issue.

What discs are you using? What mediacode? You can find mediacode with dvd identifier (free). What burner do you have? What firmware? What speed are you burning these discs?

I think that the problem is in media: memorex are low quality discs. Try with a better one like verbatim.

Some standalones are rather picky about media, and I still think that your problem is in media.

Anyway, try this other method: burn a +R media changing booktype in ROM: this improve much more compatibility.

Try to use imgburn to change booktype. It have a tool included for this.

I can't say why burning with roxio you don't have this problem.

Try to do another experiment: create an ISO file with nero and then burn that file with imgburn or with cd-dvd speed.

Still not working. The only way i have gotten the dvd disk to work in my dvd players is when i burned with Roxio Mydvd. All these have been files that are not in dvd form already but the roxio converts them for me.

There must be a way i can burn a dvd movie with this program.

Or a solution to burning a dvd with another program. Thanks for all your time soo far... I am curious as too what the problem is still.
