Movie copy software Discuss, audio problems at Software forum; just copied a movie, the video plays fine, however the audio that plays is a track from an interview from the introduction to the movie. If I select copy main title will this cure the problem?

Do you mean the Director's Commentary track? Try just repeatedly pressing the "Audio" button on your player's remote control until you cycle to the sound track you want to listen to. Or choose the desired sound track from the DVD's setup menu.

Re: audio problems

Thank You! selecting the audio track allowed me to get the proper sound track. Now I have another question, how can I choose the proper audio track to copy if I only want the sound track that corresponds with the video track?
Also it took almost an hour to copy this dvd, is there a way to increase the copy speed to cut down the copy time?

The second menu in CloneDVD2 should be the section where you can select your audio tracks. Select the 1 you want (English AC3/6??)... and leave out the rest (Director Commentary)

No worries - thats what everyone is here for... to help

You have to look at the program to see what im talking about. You will see on there all the different language settings. Simply "tick" the English AC3/6 and leave the rest blank. There will also be a section on there that should specifiy which one is the Directors Commentary.

Edit: it might say something Like English Director Commentary AC3/6

I love 1click regular - not the pro version. The Pro version has to many issues. The 1click regular is EXTREEMLY easy to use.. if you remember the program... thers a simple screen to select what options you want.. and click... it does its job.

I have found, however, that I am useing CloneDVD more and more... I like to cut out the credits ad the end of the movie... and if available, trim down the begining sequence.

At the moment I do prefer CloneDVD2, but would not hesitate to recommend 1click.

For my labels, I take out my trusty Sharpy or ill print out directly onto my dvd (i buy the white inkjet printables). If by labels you mean that quick second before the dvd starts, where it shows the name of your dvd... I now just let the program pull the default label

Re: audio problems

What is an acceptable time frame from start to finish to back up an average dvd movie?

Re: audio problems

How about any settings to my computer or anything else that can increase the speed by which clonedvd copies a movie?

Thats where it starts getting tricky. Your burner, the media you use, what speed your burning, your RAM, Cache of HD, how long has it been since you defragged, is DMA enabled... etc etc.

How long does it normally take you- start to finish

Nefarious,
Doing a little moon lighting,,,
sounds like some good solid advise.
You are da man.

I also recommend regular 1Click along side of CloneDVD2. In my experience, when one fails the other will work.

Re: audio problems

I've burned 2 took about an hour each. I have not defragged for quite some time, I will try that soon, media is Sony-R 120min, 4.7. and I have no idea what DMA is, or what the cache of the HD is. RAM is 512. Where did you get all this information? Is there a manual or from trial and error?
