| Advice sought- DVD cover printing software A smidgen off-topic, but I assume this is where those of us who back-up DVDs and would be in need of such software would be. So, does anyone have positive or negative experiences with software specifically designed to print DVD covers? I've found general image printing progs to be hit or miss about precisely scaling the .jpgs on cdcovers.cc to the needed size (10.75 x 7.25 in). Thanks all.

| Re: Advice sought- DVD cover printing software i've printed a few cd/dvd disc labels before with Acoustica CD Label Maker, and i seem to remember that they have dvd cover label templates as well. the disc label printouts were right on the money (unlike other programs, which were usually off-center and/or improperly sized) so i'm guessing the dvd cover printouts would be at least acceptable.

| Re: Advice sought- DVD cover printing software I would have to agree with dewd2, CoverXP rocks totally, is a great program to use. It does help however if you have a printer that will allow you to do borderless printing to make the jackets. My canon I950 does a great job of making my jackets. Full page in under a minute Glad I bought that paper cutter at Staples haha. |

| Re: Advice sought- DVD cover printing software Thanks for the ideas, but now there's a new wrinkle. The office recently bought a kickass $10k color laser with all the trimmings. But administrative access in all our PCs is restricted, so installing programs is a no-no. Anyone know of a standalone prog that doesn't need to be installed, or better yet, some way to guarantee the final print size using photoshop or somesuch? Thanks again.

| Re: Advice sought- DVD cover printing software One would never think, but it is an important question! I am getting tired of resizing and etc. all the images when printing the covers. It's a great idea. I will try the software that is mentioned. Well, a lil bit different topic... Sometimes I find covers from cdcovers.cc are not of the best quality (low resolution). I found a site where the covers are of extremely good quality, but it's in a rare language.

| Re: Advice sought- DVD cover printing software i used to use coverxp, but got tired of cutting/trimming the cover out. so, now i use dvd cover inserts that are perforated from meritline. they also have a free program to download called ez label express which is compatible for the inserts. |

| Re: Advice sought- DVD cover printing software I downloaded CoverXP. I was not impressed at the beginning, but later I found out the positive sides of the software. I will use it. Very simple and great software. Thanx for the idea.

| Re: Advice sought- DVD cover printing software I agree with AZImmortal, my favorite is Acoustica CD Label Maker, it has the option for DVD covers. Simply get your jpg download from cdcovers.cc and insert it into the template, makes perfect covers, I use glossy photo paper and then using a xacto knife and 12 " metal ruler. I just make 4 cuts where the inks ends, always a perfect rectangle is printed. I lay the photo paper on top of a newspaper to preserve the shrapness of my blade. You can even lighten and darken the image very easily. Bottom line, it's a very simple and efficient program. |
