| Start HERE If you're talking about copying a movie, there's a lot more to it than the burner you use. But in general, DVD+R/RW seems to be the most compatable with movie players. |

As far as the difference from dvd-r or dvd+r dvd-r can only burn in single mode dvd+r can burn in dual layer, plus different settings ,,,, (hq,sp,lp,ep,slp) Each setting also has different recording times (60,120,180,240,360 mins) I may have the lingo wrong but I'm pretty sure about the info  |

Anywayzzz,, Yeah I wish it were true too but you know , somewhere down the line sombody somewhere is going to make a new series of dvds thatll be over 4.7 gigs and that should fix the dvd rip,encode and burn thing. I heard somewhere that the dvd disks we all use are well over 4.7 gigs but that they burn off the rest so we can only use 4.7. I don't know how true that is  |
