CD and DVD Writers Discuss, Toshiba Laptop: MATSHITA UJ-831S burn error at Computer Hardware forum; I have problem wrinting my dvdmedia all of a sudden. On advice of my reseller I formated and restored my laptop. But problem with the drive remains. I have posted nero errorlog below. Use Verbatim or TY, not Ritek media.

The weird thing is that I burned over 100 this media. Works fine. But I agree TY is best. Just orded them from svp.

Problem remains. I think the main problem can't be media since I have over 100 succesfull burns with the media (all same batch).

Any other suggestions? I have to wait for the media to make a new error log when I receive the media I will post it asap.

Ok I have manage to get hand of some verbatim Taiyo Yuden disks. Best disk there are according to this forum. Mediacode is Yuden000T03. New error occures: Power calibration error. Weird I think because now I use fine disks and software seems to be oke. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!

had the same problem with my UJ-831s last year , got it repaired by Toshiba .. you get power calibration error usually when your drive is dying
