| Hi to everybody! Few time ago I decided to wait some time before buying a dvd burners because reading the threads in CdFreaks I had the idea thatdvd writers are still not mature:in particolar there's not still a "king" drive capable to copy recent dvd protections. Now I think will be sales. Today in a megastore in my city I've seen LG GSA-4120B for 75 euro (two days ago the price was 115).The nec 2510 and the LiteON 12x still costs 100 euro So,I'm reading and reading and I'm very confused because I want to take a decision now,a lot of people was buying 4120B. I need a Dvd recorder that can -Estract images from protected dvd games that can work with Daemon Tools -Burn on cheap dvd-r copies that works in many dvd drives Finally I'm looking for a dvd burner that has hacked firmwares project to improve performances I will use the drive to burn 3-4 dvd-r per week Is the GSA-4120B a good choice or I have to wait? Can you help me? A lot of people was buying LG and I don't want to loose a good opportunity Thanks |

| I think the burners for hacked firmware and work with cheap - is NEC and Pioneer.

| I was choosing between the lg 4120B nec 3500 and pioneer a108. I bought the nec3500 and haven't had any problems. but then again I use a lite-on dvd-rom to extract the images. but so far the nec 3500 has been fine. I have heard that the LG has some bitsetting issues which can mean problems with getting the disk to play in some older drivers. but I think they are fixing it and I also believe the NEC only supports it with a firmware hack. But don't take my word for it. |
