This drive is one of the WORSE POS I have ever used. The burn quality is very sub par with Mitsubishi Chemical discs. Verbatim DVE-R got a 0 quality scan burning at 16X. Currently trying Verbatim 16X DVD+R, but at this rate things don't look good with firmware 8L0C. Scanning BD-R/s burned with my Pioneer also look like junk (one disc...granted...Ritek) scored a 50

Ouch. Perhaps I will just return this dog and call it a day

sorry for bothering everyone over this issue. This drive had to be one of the worst I have ever purchased. Brought back and got my money back

Not going to worry about scans, etc. Will buy a faster drive for ripping in the future...

thats true for Lite-on drives, never had a good one, only reason why you should buy one is for quality scanning.
