How to read Media code from DVD with VC++

Hi,
How to read Lead-in zone of DVD?
I wanna get some info from DVD that can
identify the Disc uniquely, even there is not
single index can so that.

Some ddk work with scsi command ?
Thanks .

Yes, you would need to send scsi-3 command using win32/win64 DeviceIoControl() function with scsi pass through code. That requires the ntddk.h header file from the ddk.

You need to send READ DVD STRUCTURE (from MMC2 doc), or later renamed to READ DISC STRUCTURE (since MMC5 doc). Unfortunately the draft versions of these documents were removed for public access from their webpage:

http://www.t10.org/scsi-3.htm

There isn't a command to let you read the lead-in zone raw (as in sectors), but the mentioned command using different parameters will give you various info from the lead-in zone.
