How many times can you burn a re writable DVD

Just wondering what the life of a re writable dvd is if anyone knows. Not sure if its the right forum but DVD's aren't software so I thought I would try here.

in reality anything from 1-100, all this 1,000 business is all b*ll*c*s, if you want your RW discs to last longer then dont erase them just burn straight over the data

Re: How many times can you burn a re writable DVD

Use only the best DVD+RW media and use them the way you use DVD+R write-once burning. Store them in a clean place and do everything necessary to protect the disc. 1,000 times of rewriting is not a practical thing to expect since it's not even inside a cartridge.
