How to identify drive?

How do i identify my drive so i can upgrade the firmware , i have neroinfo , it says the f/w version is g7n9 , which seems to be benq , however i d/l the b7u9 flash utility and it said it couldnt upgrade.

Any help here would be a bonus as i am at a loss where to go next.

you should see any necessary information in Nero Infotool.

if you are not sure post a screenshot and we are maybe be able to help you

This should be a BenQ DW 1620

you can find the firmwares here http://benq-eu.com/serviceandsupport...uct=647&type=B

and you have a G7 firmware drive so you can't use B7 firmwares Try the latest G7 version (G7V9 I guess)

Thanks , im new to all this firmware stuff , but i guess its similar to bios flashing , but not as devastating incase of something going wrong.
