How do I flash SH-D162D_SB00.RPC1.low-noise.bin?

CD, DVD and Blu-ray Writers Discuss, How do I flash SH-D162D_SB00.RPC1.low-noise.bin? at Hardware forum; Hi, I downloaded the zip from another thread here to flash a Samsung DVD for my Kiss 580 DVD player. Might be stupid question, but how do I actually flash that .bin file? Thanks.

    You have to download their flasher and then load the .bin file.

    This means I have to remove the drive out of the Kiss player and temporarily connect it in a PC on which I run the upgrade software. Right?

    Hi,

    indeed, you'd have to move the drive into a PC to flash the firmware, unless there is another method provided by the manufacturer of your unit (but in that case, the firmware might be in a different format, that is unusual for computer drives).
