Hey there. I have had an Hp Pavilion laptop for the last 9 months and everything had been working fine. In the last few weeks however my HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4084N lightscribe drive will no longer read audio or blank CD's, they just spin around unable to be read and also the lightscribe feature no longer works. I have no problem with any DVD based discs just CD's. I've read that there are separate lasers for both the CD and DVD parts of the drive. Does anyone have any idea if the hardware is buggered or if there is any fiddling about with settings i could do to fix the problem? Cheers.

Blanks cannot be read.

Test the drive in another computer and clean it.
