Generations on DVDs

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong forum......


Wen i buy blank DVD-Rs, there is always "Generations 3", or "Generations 4" etc quote with the description......

Wot does thins mean please?

Ritek G3 and G4? Ritek Generation 3 DVD-R and Ritek Generation 4 DVD-R. That's all.

I have seen Bulkpaq DVDs with either the Generation 3 or 4 ........?
