| this is all confusing I have no Idea what to do, I have had my compaq presario for around 12 months and now I am having some difficulties with my dvd writer... All my dvds are becoming coasters! I burn using Nero 6 and afterwards either my dvd won't read and registers as a blank disc or Nero fails when burning, I checked the disc with DVDInfo pro and it could see that data was on the disc and it was full of bad sectors. I have checked around and i can't find any information on the problem that I am having. |

| You burn a DVD and expect it to be BLANK afterwards, huh? Try with reliable and good brands. www.videohelp.com could help you with.

well I don't quite understand how that link could be relevant to me. I mean all I am trying to burn is Data Cd's and they show up blank when I insert them after being burnt.. Nero says there is no problem when burning and everything seems ok.. I do checks afterwards and the written disc fails everything.. Cd's burn ok on a lower speed! |

| It's a Philips genuine drive and likes + media the most.
