DMA-driver error, CRC error with LiteOn LH-20A1S

Hi,

I just bought a LiteOn LH-20A1S, the S-ATA one, yesterday and haven't been able to burn a single DVD with success. Everytime I try to burn, I get a DMA-driver error, CRC error. I read many forum threads but most of them suggested to change the IDE cable. Since my burner is S-ATA, I tried 3 different ports with 2 different cables and still getting the same problem. I also tried 3 different Nero versions including the Nero Express that is provided with the drive. I also tried to change the UDMA settings in the BIOS. I have the latest BIOS for my board and the latest firmware on the Burner. Here are my system specs:

Athlon X2 3800+ AM2
3 GB of DDR-2 Ram
eVGA Geforce 7600GT
MSI K9N Platinum Nforce 570
2x320 GB Seagate 7200 rpm in RAID-1
Plextor 716a PATA on IDE Master
LiteOn LH-20A1S
Windows XP Pro SP2 with all the latest updates

Here's my Nero log:

Windows XP 5.1

Re: DMA-driver error, CRC error with LiteOn LH-20A1S

Update your nVidia chipset drivers. Consult mobos manual to ensure you connected drive to native SATA port.

Re: DMA-driver error, CRC error with LiteOn LH-20A1S

Problem solved!

Thanks for the suggestion of updating to the latest drivers. I already had the latest nforce 5 drivers, but reinstalling them solved my problem. I don't know why, but Windows considered my S-ATA ports as IDE devices and I could see 3 IDE controllers even though I have only one. Reinstalling the drivers solved this problem and I've been able to burn flawlessly after that.
