| I have this freaking Artec COMBO drive that I bought for the purpose of having a 52X24X52 CDRW and a DVD-ROM so that I can use the DVD-ROM as the source drive when 'burning on the fly" with DVDs. Well, this drive only will be recognized as a CD-ROM when trying to perform that option, with ANY SOFTWARE! ....per my experiences and the manufactor. I was looking at the SOHC-5232K OR the like, but I gotta know that its going to burn on the fly with DVDs (using Nero6)?? Does anyone have and are using their COMBO drive to do this --- if so... please advise? I want to keep the CD-RW write speed (52x24x52) and using the drive as a DVD source drive for quick burns... Help me out fellaz... Thanks!!

| Yeeeees siiiiirrrrr!!!! The Lite-On 5232 Combo drive works like a charm! ...it works as a DVD-ROM wheb doing direct DVD-to-DVD copies and its even faster (52x32x52) than that Artec (52x24x52) that I had --- thats now RMA'ed!
